Terms of Service

Last updated June 7, 2026

These terms set out the rules for using Earshot. Please read them carefully — by using the service, you agree to them.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of Earshot. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you are using Earshot on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that company.

2. What Earshot does

Earshot lets employers create jobs with up to five questions, invite candidates by a unique link, and review recorded video answers in a pipeline. Candidates record answers in their browser without creating an account. We may improve or change features over time.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You must provide accurate information and be at least the age of majority in your location.

4. Plans and billing

Earshot offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. Plan limits — such as the number of active jobs, candidates per month, and how long videos are stored — are described on our pricing page and enforced within the product.

Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Acceptable use

When using Earshot, you agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful, discriminatory, or deceptive hiring practice.
  • Upload or request content that is illegal, harmful, or violates someone’s rights.
  • Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
  • Use candidate data for any purpose other than evaluating the candidate for the role they applied to.

6. Candidate content

Candidates retain ownership of the video answers they record. By submitting answers, a candidate grants the inviting employer and Earshot permission to store and review those answers for the purpose of the interview. Employers are responsible for handling candidate data lawfully and in line with our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

Earshot and its underlying software, design, and branding belong to us. These terms do not give you any right to use our name or logo without permission. You keep ownership of the job content and candidate data you put into the service.

8. Service availability

We work to keep Earshot available and reliable, but we provide the service “as is” and cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Video recording is supported in modern Chromium-based browsers (such as Chrome and Edge); other browsers may not be supported.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Earshot is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss of data, profits, or hiring outcomes arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

You can stop using Earshot and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or to the platform.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Earshot after changes means you accept the updated terms.

12. Contact us
